Plot of the film "Ford v Ferrari"
A long time ago, Henry Ford II decided to buy a small Italian car company called Ferrari. You know, to add a little bit of racing authority to your family car image. Carefully hand-crafted Ferrari sports cars were distinguished by great pathos, but it was not easy to sell them at the required price even in the early 1960s. Ferrari was losing money badly. Ford, however, had a lot of money at the time. So it seemed like it was a couple created in the heaven of the automotive industry. So far this has not been the case. It would seem that on the threshold of the deal, the founder of Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari, turned to another track (thanks to a lifeline from Fiat at 12 o'clock). This gives the proud Italian the opportunity to express his opinion... straight. Ford makes "ugly little cars," Enzo grins, "in big ugly factories." Henry Ford is furious. And a man like Henry Ford II is not to be trifled with. So he decides to beat Ferrari at its own game, on its own territory: in the famous "24 Hours of LeHman", where Ferrari racing cars take first place. Henry Ford II will invite the most talented. He will invite the best. And he will build his own Ford racing car. In fact, he will build the best racing car in the world, and he will bury Ferrari at Le Mans," he blazes. To bring all this to life, Ford invites Carroll Shelby.
