Plot of the film "The Secret Life of Pets 2"
The film begins with Max and Duke going to Central Park, where they watch other dogs playing with their owners' children. For Max, children are a nightmare, and, as another dog tells him, everything changes with the appearance of a child. Unfortunately for Max, his and Duke's hostess Katie meets Chuck, and the two eventually get married, move into Katie's apartment and have their own child named Liam. Although Max feels exhausted by Liam, he begins to warm to the boy when he becomes old enough to walk and talk, and tells Max that he loves him. From that moment on, Max makes it his job to protect Liam from the dangers of the outside world. We see other pets in their daily lives. Chloe wakes up her mistress by coughing up a lump of wool in her bed. Snowball is already used to being Molly's pet, and she dressed him up as a superhero, calling him Captain Snowball. Katie notices that Max is stressed, as he constantly scratches himself when he thinks Liam is in trouble. He even had Buddy, Mel, and Norman follow him around town. As a result, Katie takes Max to the vet, where he gets even more stress from other restless pets, and a cone is put on him so that he does not scratch. The family is planning a trip out of town to visit Uncle Chuck's farm. Before leaving, Max instructs Gidget to look after his favorite toy - a squeaking ball that looks like a bee.
