Plot of the film "Blue Miracle"
Casa Hogar is an orphanage in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Run by "Papa" Omar and his wife Becca, this shelter helps homeless teenagers get off the streets. Unfortunately, in 2014, Omar discovers that he (and the orphanage) has more than $100,000 in debt. The bank is ready to return the property, and the boys living in the shelter face a gloomy future again - sleeping under bridges and dodging hooligans with guns. However, the boys have one hope - Bisbee Black and Blue. Known as the Super Bowl of Fishing Competitions, Bisbee Black and Blue awards cash prizes in the hundreds of thousands. And after the city was destroyed by Hurricane Odile, the $5,000 entry fee was canceled for local fishermen. Omar doesn't know anything about fishing, and neither do any of his boys. But Captain Wade knows. Living in his dilapidated boat at the docks, Wade is the only person who has won the Bisbee two years in a row. But formally, he is not a "local fisherman". To qualify for free entry, he needs local teammates. And it turns out that Casa Hogar may be just the ticket. He doesn't care about saving Casa Hogar: he's more interested in wealth and fame. And Omar does not dare to give his boys, to whom he is trying to instill good moral values, to someone who clearly does not care about them.
