Plot of the film "Incredibles 2"
Superheroes are dishonest. Yes, perhaps they have the best intentions. But every time they fight a villain, this is certainly followed by the collapse of buildings. Superman and Zod destroyed half of Metropolis in the movie "Man of Steel". The Avengers defeated Ultron in Sokovia, but they didn't leave the city any better than they found it. The only people who unconditionally love superheroes these days are insurance agents. The Parr family knows all about the prejudice against superheroes. It doesn't matter that they defeated the evil Syndrome. It doesn't matter that they've just stopped a new criminal villain, a Bomber, on his underground tracks: "supers" are still outlawed. And, frankly, the politicians would like them to leave everything alone - and the Bomber alone. Bob and Helen (once beloved Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl), along with their super-powered offspring (Violet, Dash and baby Jack-Jack), are still unable to use their superpowers. This is stated in the book: section 27, paragraph 32, line c or so. Marketing mogul Winston Deaver wants to change that. Winston believes that these days superheroes should be not only pure of heart and strong muscles. They also need a good PR campaign. For too long, superheroes have been doing their heroic work and without a single word they went into the night, waving their cloaks: No flattering posts on Instagram, no smart bon mots on Twitter, nothing.
