Plot of the film "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings"
Marvel is back again with its latest cinematic project, "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings." Based on a character from Marvel comics, Shang-Chi is not a character that has received a lot of attention so far. He is a Chinese martial artist in a world filled with dragons, assassins and a style characteristic of this universe. The film centers on Shang-Chi (Simu Liu), who lives in San Francisco with his best friend Katie (Aquafina). However, their lives are interrupted when a group of assassins from the Ten Rings organization finds Shang-Chi, who turns out to be a skilled martial artist who has long since abandoned his life as a killer. Forced to face his past, Shang-Chi must find his sister Xialing as they both encounter the leader of the "Ten Rings", their father Xu Wenwu (who in this universe is identified as a true Mandarin). From here we move from bus fights to family dilemmas, to conflicts that give this story a great dimension. "Shang Chi" is a breath of fresh air, which I can easily imagine in the form of a movie series in the future. If you have seen the trailers and don't expect much, I would advise you to watch this movie, because there is much more in it than it seems at first glance.
