The Virtuoso

A virtuoso killer working for a former military mentor. The mentor assigns him tasks for which the virtuoso receives a substantial reward. All transactions are carried out through mail correspondence and secret phone calls between the killer and the mentor. The whole operation is kept secret and is performed in the most professional manner. The virtuoso is sent a paper cheat with the name of the target, its location and time. The task of the Virtuoso is to fulfill the customer's requirements, namely, basically, to finish with the object. The mentor gives the Virtuoso an urgent task in which he must kill the general director of the local authority, who was released by the judge. The operation must be completed in less than 48 hours, and the customer requires that his death look like an accident. The virtuoso usually plans such visits for a long time, but in this case he was not offered. In a hurry, he spoils the task, causing collateral damage to a woman who burns and dies on the road along with her target. The virtuoso cannot erase the visual perception, and the cries of the child still resound in his ears. When later the Mentor meets the Virtuoso near his father's grave, it turns out in the conversation that the Mentor was a friend of his father. They both served in the army, and being a soldier is a Virtuoso's family business. When a Virtuoso talks about a pledge, the mentor tells him a story that proves that there is no place for guilt or remorse in this business.
