Plot of the film "The Kissing Booth"
Elle Evans and Lee Flynn's mother were girlfriends who met in college and soon became lifelong friends. They gave birth to Elle and Lee on the same day at the same time in Los Angeles, California. Soon Elle and Lee began to share an indissoluble bond and, growing up, vibrated on dance machines. However, when Elle was 11 years old, her mother became terminally ill and died three years later. Since then, Lee and her family have become an integral part of her survival system. But there was someone else who was bothering Elle throughout the whole time. Elle was in love with Lee's older brother, Noah, and over the years this infatuation intensified. El and Lee drew up a code of conduct for their friendship, including many rules that they followed. Rule No. 9 states: "Your best friends' relatives are banned." El and Lee followed these rules like the gospel, and therefore El never dared to share her feelings with Noah. They kept their distance until it became inevitable. On the first day of their junior year, El and Lee had to brainstorm to raise funds for the carnival. After some struggle, they came up with the perfect plan to create a "Kissing Booth". The project was presented to the student council, which approved the idea only if Noah Flynn worked in the booth. To save her soul, Elle lied to the council members. She turned to Noah, who refused to consider the idea.
