Rampage

It all started back in 1993. It was then that scientists first began revolutionary research in the field of genetic editing. Now, decades later, Energyne scientists are developing this foundation, making remarkable breakthroughs in DNA manipulation. But they are accompanied by an unpleasant side effect: laboratory animals mutate, becoming much larger and more aggressive than they are in nature. In fact, researchers on the space station cannot cage the genetically modified animals they have spawned. And then one day an experiment in orbit goes disastrously wrong, sending genetically modified particles raining down on the San Diego Zoo... and they get into the blood of a gentle giant albino gorilla named George. The same particles find new hosts in an alligator and a wolf elsewhere. The result? Thanks to the altered genetic code, each animal increases in size and becomes aggressive, crushing cities. George is as gigantic as ever. But now he's not the same as before. Who can stop the rampage of these creatures like Godzilla? Perhaps only George's longtime trainer, primatologist and just animal connoisseur Davis Okoye. He teams up with Dr. Kate Caldwell. Together, they may be the only people on Earth capable of saving the planet from the devastation of mutating monsters that humanity unwittingly released.
