It's a good thing Robert McCall doesn't have a lawn. You just have no idea how far it will go if someone doesn't get off it. Oh, McCall is a good guy in many ways. And some say - excellent. Not every Lyft driver will regularly drive a kind but sentimental old man around Boston for a couple of quarters. Or who selflessly becomes a father who gives good, practical life lessons to at-risk youth. Or someone who, in his spare time, wipes graffiti off the wall of his apartment building. When Miles (a teenager who has an aptitude for art but a penchant for skipping school) sees McCall cleaning bricks, Miles reminds him that it's not McCall's job to fix someone else's mess. Let someone else do it, Miles suggests. Anyone. "I think anyone can do it, but no one does, Miles," McCall tells him, continuing to scrub the bricks. And all this is wonderful. Really. But McCall's benevolence may also become a little... extreme. You see, McCall's real talent isn't cleaning bricks. It's about shedding blood. If he hears that a girl has been kidnapped, he will return her, even if he has to kill a dozen bad guys to do it. If he suspects that one of his Lyft customers has been treated unfairly, he will find the villains and deal with them - bone by bone, if necessary.
