Anarchist Solomon Lane is behind bars, and his followers are scattered and on the run. The remnants of Lane's syndicate began calling themselves the Apostles. They joined forces with someone issuing deadly manifestos-a mysterious killer named John Lark. A nuclear weapons expert and three Russian plutonium cores have disappeared. The authorities believe that the cores can be used as weapons within 72 hours. And no one knows the location of any of the above figures or players. It's time for Ethan and his team to get active again, right? But this time it's not that simple. You see, the CIA is not too happy with some of the mistakes Ethan and his team have made in the recent past. Therefore, the Agency received official permission to introduce its agent into Ethan's team. "You're using a scalpel," CIA Director Erica Sloan says of the IMF's methods. "I prefer a hammer." And this is exactly what Agent August Walker is: a human sledgehammer that has received permission to fall on everything and everyone who stands between him and the nuclear cores.
