Unhinged

Rachel has been through some tough years. A long, drawn-out divorce left her with a lot of emotional baggage. The incessant work responsibilities put daily pressure on her. And her middle-school-age son, Kyle, is trying to cope with his problems. That's a lot. Rachel really doesn't have the time or the ability to deal with all this. That's why when she's late to take her son to school because of a man in a big gray truck who doesn't want to cross the road at a green light. She's a little annoyed. She taps the horn several times. It seems to be fine. I see. But not for Tom Cooper. You see, Tom has had some difficult years too. Long nights at work, alcohol abuse, his own difficult divorce and an ex-wife who slept with their divorce lawyer turned Tom into a man who doesn't really like to let things take their course. Even a few beeps of a car horn. Tom tells Rachel about it, driving up to her window. All he needs is one little apology. But Rachel refuses. After all, she hadn't done anything wrong. But Tom thinks otherwise. And what starts out as a tough day for Rachel turns into a nightmarish 24 hours when Tom Cooper menacingly tells Rachel that she will soon find out what a really bad day looks like.
