Run

The action of the film begins in the hospital. Diana Sherman is anxiously awaiting news from doctors, as her baby was born prematurely. When she is brought into the ward, she sees her child, Chloe, and asks the doctors if she will be all right. They don't answer her. Eighteen years later, Chloe is a smart girl suffering from arrhythmia, hemochromatosis, asthma, diabetes and paralysis, as a result of which she needs a wheelchair to move around. She takes a number of medications, and Diana takes care of her. Chloe is also interested in appliances and repairs household appliances. Diana attends support group classes for other mothers whose children are leaving for college. When asked about Chloe, Diana firmly states that she doesn't have to worry about Chloe. Chloe searches for college acceptance letters in the mail, but Diana always reaches the mailbox before her and says that there is nothing there for her. After bringing home the groceries, Chloe tries to get into the bag and get some chocolates, but finds a container with green-gray pills that seem exactly the same as the ones that Diana gave her. When Diana brings her these pills later in the evening, Chloe asks if they are really hers, but Diana replies that she was mistaken. Later, Chloe checks the container again and sees a label with her name on it, but then peels it off and discovers Diana's name. Chloe tries to find a cure, trigoxin, on the Internet, but discovers that the Internet has been disconnected (which Chloe does not suspect, it was Diana).
