Plot of the film "Redeeming Love"
Angel was used to men looking at her. She made a living by being the most beautiful woman in the brothel, and she had more men than she could count. But what's the worst part? Every day she realizes how true the advice of her housekeeper Cleo was when she was a little girl. "All men want is to use you," Cleo had told her. "It's God's truth." So when Michael Hosea walks into her bedroom and doesn't want to do anything but talk, it's a pretty strong systemic shock. Even more bizarrely, a hardworking farmer living outside of Peer-a-Dice, California, claims that God wants him to marry her. There is nothing surprising in the offer. This is her fifth offer in a week. However, it is surprising that Michael does not look at her with lust, as other men do. On the contrary, he sees through its facade. He just wants to love her with biblical love. "You didn't choose the life you had, but you can choose the life you want," Michael says. But how far is Michael willing to go to love her? And, in the end, forgive her? After all, the truth is that Angel's bondage in a brothel is just one of the terrible traumas she has endured. Even an Angel can't overcome the scars of his past, let alone share them with someone. And if Michael ever finds out how unclean her past was, he will never be able to love her, and she will remain even more broken than before. "All men want is to use you. This is God's truth." But is it so?
