Plot of the film "Texas Chainsaw Massacre"
Dante, Ruth, Melody and Lila visit an abandoned city because they see it as an investment opportunity. They want to capitalize on the very aspect of the city's history that led to its desolation. Dante, Ruth and Melody are entrepreneurs from Austin, and Laila is Melody's younger sister, who accompanies them on this exciting adventure. They go into an ordinary store, and Laila sees a fragment on TV about the infamous chainsaw murder case in Texas, letting us know that 50 years later, what should not have been forgotten was buried under the sands of time. But for these entrepreneurs of the new time, it was nothing more than folklore. The shop owner also sells items inspired by the "Chainsaw Killer." Lila sees a newspaper clipping taped to the wall, which talks about an interview with the sole survivor of the 1974 massacre, Sally Hardesty. A store owner named Herb tells Lila that Sally never talked about that accident and became a ranger in Texas. Sally had been looking for a Leather Face for many years, which put on people's skin as masks, but later gave up, not finding any clue. Herb despises the wealthy urban entrepreneurs seeking to gentrify the town of Harlow. Melody gets into a pejorative argument with Richter, whom she meets not far from the store. Richter is a resident of Harlow, who, as it turned out later, was also a contractor for their project. Dante sees the Confederate battle flag hanging on one of the buildings. This building was an orphanage, which had not a single tenant, except for old Mrs. Mac, who declared herself the rightful owner of the building. Dante is a little annoyed when he sees the Confederate flag, and tells the lady that the bank gave him legal possession. The lady claims that she has paid off all her debts and that the property belongs only to her. But Dante is not in the mood to listen. Melody asks Dante to confirm this fact, as she feels sympathy for the old lady. Dante runs out of the house and calls the police to vacate the station. A woman has a heart attack. She calls her son, whose face is not shown to us. They ride in an ambulance to the hospital, and Ruth decides to accompany them.
