Plot of the film "Persuasion"
A bright costumed film adaptation of Jane Austen's novel. The main character is Ann Elliot, a well–educated, well-mannered girl, is the middle sister of three. Ann is reasonable, but her father does not consider her opinion, intoxicated only by the eldest of the three sisters Elizabeth. The younger sister, Mary, is married and has two children. Once upon a time, Anne refused to marry the sailor Frederick Wentworth, although she had trembling feelings for him. Ann was afraid of poverty in marriage and listened to the arguments of her mind. A few years later, the Elliot family, due to financial difficulties, rents out their estate, and she goes to the resort town of Bath. Ann arrives there later, as she needed to take care of her sick sister Mary. It is in Bath, against the backdrop of beautiful seascapes, that Anne meets Wentorwot again. He is a grown–up, made-a-fortune captain who intends to prove to Ann that selfish calculation should not affect feelings. He plans to marry one of Ann's sisters-in-law. In addition, Anne begins to be courted by her cousin William Elliot – a charming young man who has his own ulterior motives. Will the former lovers be able to overcome all difficulties, establish relationships and be together, or will the arguments of reason prevail over both.
