Jungle Cruise

The film is based on a Disneyland park attraction in which a small riverboat takes a group of travelers through a jungle full of dangerous animals and reptiles, but with a supernatural element. Frank Wolf is the captain of a riverboat on the Amazon River. He is hired by a British scientist and her brother to go into the jungle in search of a Moon Tree, whose flowers can supposedly cure diseases, injuries and remove curses. Along the way, they encounter a submarine, rogue Germans, and inanimate conquistadors who have their own history with Frank. In 1916, in London, MacGregor Houghton (Jack Whitehall) speaks to the Royal Society with a report on the study "Tears of the Moon", which was secretly written by his sister, Dr. Lily Houghton (Emily Blunt). Tears of the Moon, a mythical tree whose flowers are rumored to be able to cure diseases, injuries and remove curses, has been hiding in the jungles of South America for a long time. Lily's research claims that the flowers of the Tree could revolutionize medicine and help the British military during the First World War. However, the presentation is just a distraction so that Lily can infiltrate Society and steal the newly acquired arrowhead, which is supposedly the key to finding the Tree.
